Secure Passbook Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 25th October, 2026
The app respects your privacy.
Secure Passbook is a password notebook for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It keeps your passwords, ID numbers and notes private: it does not collect or share any personal information, and it has no servers of its own.
Data Storage and Sync
What you save stays on your devices, in the device's secure storage (the Keychain). If you're signed in to iCloud, it is also kept in your own private iCloud account, run by Apple Inc., so it comes back on a new iPhone, iPad or Mac signed in to the same Apple Account. Everything you save is stored there encrypted. The developer cannot see anything you save.
Permissions
The app asks only when you use the feature, and works without each one:
- Face ID / Touch ID: to unlock the app. Your device handles this; the app never sees your face or fingerprint.
- Contacts (optional): so “Call [name]” uses the latest number of the one person you chose. That person is looked up on your device only.
The app also notices, without asking and without knowing who is involved, when a phone call is in progress or your screen is being shared or recorded, so it can warn you before showing a password. This stays on your device and is never recorded.
What the App Does Not Do:
- It does not collect any personal data.
- It does not use analytics, tracking or advertising.
- It does not link any data to your identity.
- It does not share data with third parties.
- It does not keep a record of when you look at a password.
Deleting Your Data
Remove an item in the app, or delete the app. To remove the iCloud copy too, open the Settings app, tap your name, then iCloud, then manage your storage and delete Secure Passbook's data.
Changes to This Policy
The policy will be updated if the app's behaviour changes in ways affecting your privacy.
